Masked Citizen X-2. Technology creates a complex relationhip for man and his environment. Too often it is uncritically accepted as a uptopian ideal for the future. There is a darker more sinister side to our increasingly technology dependent life and the effect on man, society, city and enivornment will not always be positive. Masked Citizen X-2 is an electronic mask that disrupts normative communication through an elaborate automated anti-social mechanism: closing as a person approaches and playing synthesized lines of text, until the person leaves the vicinity — at which time the mask reopens.
